Ceyda & Ahmed
Ceyda & Ahmed’s Love Story
It all began on October the 4th, 2016 Where they were both working at their local supermarket; Ceyda had been there for a while and Ahmed had just started. Ceyda being the gorgeous looking checkout chick had Ahmed going a little gaga and then one night when he approached Ceyda and asked if she wanted to go out with him for some coffee. She remembers laughing to heryself and thinking ‘wow he’s got balls’. she giggled and said yes.
“I find it very rare where a guy approaches a girl to get to know them these days. Usually social media is involved but that wasn’t the case with us. That was the moment I fell in love with him, I guess we can call it love at first sight. After we had been dating for a while his friend told me that before he had even approached me, he had told his friend that he was going to marry me, and he did! ” Ceyda
Getting Wedding Ready
Ahmed’s suit was from Prinzi Collection. Shoes Windsor Smith.
Wedding invitations were created by Lauren Skorsis and reflected their wedding theme perfectly.
“My wedding dress inspo was Meghan Markels wedding dress! I just loved how perfectly simple it was and that all the detail was in the cut and stitching of the dress.
I had a custom-made wedding gown by Deanne – Lookbook Bride. She did an incredible job without braking the bank! My veil was also by her.
My wedding shoes were also custom from Jeanette Maree. I also had a pair of flats as back up.” Ceyda
Ceremony & Reveal
“We had our wedding ceremony at my mother’s house with our family and friends by our side. I chose to have the ceremony at our home where I was born and raised. I wanted my final moments in that house to be of me wearing my wedding dress, with my husband by my side, and walking with me out the door.
The most ‘stand out’ moment would have been while waiting nervously for the reveal. I remember standing there with the vail over my head, looking down and waiting for the drums to start playing so we knew the groom had come. Once those drums started to play I felt my heart race. I think that was the moment where it really kicked in that I was getting married!” Ceyda
“We had hired a band to play traditional music at our wedding. We also hired drums to be played when my partner came to my mother’s house for the ceremony and ‘picking up the bride’.”
The Best Bit
“For me the most stand out moment would be the ceremony at my mother’s house.
I personally wouldn’t do anything differently. I loved how everything had turned out.
Our entire wedding day was amazing and full of butterflies and love but I think my husband and I would both agree when I say that the best bit was coming home together after the reception and jumping into PJ’s!!
Advice from Ceyda & Ahmed
Be organised! We planned our wedding in 4 months and the only way we survived was because we’re both very organised people. We had checklists and calendar’s, reminders and notes, you name it.”
“I would probably also advise to bring along some food and water. Leave it in the car where accessible, only because your running around all day full of adrenaline, you really do forget how hungry you are!”
