Winter Cafe Love
Two soon-to-be lovers sat in front of their computer screens one night and each set up a profile on EHarmony, a very short time later the two were matched.
The next natural thing to do was to stalk each other, the first thing that caught Adam’s eye was Nola wearing the best smile along with a fedora hat, he really liked that hat!
And it was the photo of Adam snowboarding that had Nola’s heart go a little flutter, he looked so manly and this was even before the beard…he looked so active but not in a lycra kind of active, for that alone Nola gave him a click.
The next thing you know they are dating, building a life together, having a child and then along comes the engagement and all the decisions that come afterward…let the wedding planning begin.
Adam & Nola headed to Richmond one day to pick up a prize of small goods Adam had won, a step across the road they go to a very well known cafe Friends of Mine and they knew they had found their wedding venue.
From Qt Melbourne to laneway antics to Yarra Trams escort to marriage after dusk, so romantic and glowy like.
Now a word from our sweetest bride Nola
What were the highlights of your wedding day?
“There were so many, but defiantly the ceremony! It was intimate and romantic with the mood exactly how we hoped it to be.
Getting to share it with all of our closest family and friends from around the world made it even more special. Sharon was perfect!
We always said that if we could start our wedding and marriage off laughing then it could only set the tone for a great night and future ahead- and laugh we all did. She was great!”
Some other highlights were:
“The band and dancing, we all had such a great time and were sorry to see the night end.
Having our bridal party lead all the guests from each table to the dance floor in a coga line was a lot of fun a great way to fill the dance floor from the very first song.
Adam ordering 70+ cheeseburgers from McDonalds and delivered by Uber Eats at 10.30pm as a “snack”. The band were stoked and it defiantly kept us all going!
Our first look, I already knew I was going to be emotional through the ceremony (thanks pregnancy hormones) but seeing him earlier in the day, hanging out and having fun made it much easier to control that later on during the ceremony.
Adam and I serving the deserts/wedding cake to our guests. It ensured that we got to see everyone individually and thank them personally.”
What would you do differently if anything?
“Not a lot! One thing I do wish though, is that we had either got a videographer for the day or at the very least had someone video the ceremony and speeches- even if only with an iPhone. Being so loved up with emotion, of course you remember it all, but it would be nice to have it to look back on after the dust is settled” Nola
Stunning view from QT Melbourne where the preparations begin with our very own Inez Beautifully unstructured bouquets by our Wild Flower & Twig Mama Kisses are the best aren’t they! When your son is this cute……he gets eskimo kisses. Almost ready for their ‘first look’ ‘The First Look’ is magical Up to the rooftop bar for a beverage before heading off to the ceremony. These boys have got swag. Melbourne laneway antics are always a good idea. These two have no fear…lady with a baby Adam! Transport to your ceremony? Yarra Trams of course. When dusk is upon us and guest are not far from arriving. Last minute hugs for Dad. That moment is still emotional, their first look took nothing away.Mother in law hugs and she hands over her baby. Sharon the Celebrant about to fire everyone up. Not enough room for the bridal party or someone is going up in flames, pop them in the front row. Sharon the Celebrant could have said something naughty…it’s hard to say! A short reading is a good reading. Owning that aisle as newlyweds is everything When it’s the end of the amazing journey with your celebrant. Nola Loves cake and Emelia Jackson did not disappoint. Speeches can be a very emotional time for a lady. Bridesmaids duty #75 Get the party started! The most perfect baby bump I ever did see. Lark Music were fabulous. That’s how you rock a belly bump in a wedding gown my friends.
